Sakeuh and VanderWall Honored by Crossroads League

JACKSON, Mich. – Taylor's Patience Sakeuh and Ahna VanderWall received recognition from the Crossroads League on Monday, following their outstanding performances at the Trojan Invite.
Sakeuh was touted as the CL's Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week after winning two events and hitting the NAIA A-standard in each. Sakeuh registered the fourth-best long jump distance in the NAIA this season at 5.72 meters, while also running a time of 8.82 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles.
VanderWall was named the Crossroads League Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after setting a new Taylor record and winning the 5,000-meters with a time of 17:26.08. That timed converted to 17:18, giving VanderWall the third-best 5,000-meter time in the NAIA this season.
The honors for Sakeuh and VanderWall, combined with the nods for Liam Hesting and Sammy Sommers on the men's side, give Taylor a total of 33 Crossroads League Athlete-of-the-Week awards this year and a total of 39 total CL or MSFA weekly awards.
Taylor is poised to return to action on Saturday, February 4 at the Indiana Wesleyan Invite.
