Trio of Athletes Compete for Taylor at Heartland Invite
INDIANPOLIS – Kiana Siefert, Claire Bailey and D'Arjha Davis headed to Indianapolis to compete in the Heartland Invite on Friday and Saturday, in a final tuneup leading into the Crossroads League Championships at IWU on February 20 and 21.
Siefert had another strong meet, hitting the NAIA B-standards in each of her events. The senior posted a time of 8.73 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles and leapt 5.68 meters in the long jump for a pair of top-six showings in the field of NCAA Division I athletes.
Bailey also competed in two events, joining Siefert in the 60-meter hurdles, and highlighting her weekend by taking 10th in the 600-meters with a time of 1:43.23.
Davis rounded out the weekend for TU with a season-best time of 26.12 in the 200-meters.
TU will return to action with a full slate of competitors at the CL Championships.
